Groundwater Contaminant Transport Research Group
Groundwater Contaminant Transport Group focuses on the development and application of reactive transport models to investigate a variety of physical, chemical, and biological processes affecting the transport and fate of contaminant in subsurface environments. Ongoing study includes development of a novel analytical tool to model radionuclide transport in hydrogeological med;ia; application of the geochemical model to simulate the design and operation of enhanced groundwater remediation system using groundwater circulation wells; and investigation of contaminant transport in layered geological media; and contaminant hydrogeological parameter estimation techniques for tracer tests in different flow patterns.
